By: Darrin Snider -- Monday, September 24, 2007
This is the first of seven shows recorded on September 15th at the Kammy's Kause benefit, and as I explained in the outrobabble, it's a long one. Unfortunately, there was a lot of great music, one hilarious interview, and a lot of supplemental material t... (Read Full Article)

Show #020: Sweet Dilemma

By: Darrin Snider -- Saturday, May 19, 2007
This is a show I've been waiting to do for a while. I first met Sweet Dilemma back in September through a mutual friend. It took a while to get schedules coordinated, and eventually it was Johnny Lyles at Lonewolf Media Entertainment who just sort of dro... (Read Full Article)

Show #019: State

By: Darrin Snider -- Saturday, May 19, 2007
This week marks a return to a cozy little bar at my alma mater in Bloomington, Indiana to meet up with the band State, a high-energy punk/pop/rock outfit fronted by veteran David Barajas (ex Extra Blue Kind). The band has been getting great reviews in mo... (Read Full Article)

Show #018: Strange Face

By: Darrin Snider -- Saturday, May 19, 2007
Oh, those wacky guys. This week's show is a bit chaotic as you can tell, powered by a bit too much beer and a band that, when I said, "Just be relaxed and conversational," actually took me to heart. So, for the multiple conversations and the ... (Read Full Article)

Show #015: Rok Hollywood

By: Darrin Snider -- Thursday, April 19, 2007
You know, there's something almost therapeutic about spending an entire weekend kicking back with a case of beer, a laptop and doing nothing but slapping on headphones and power-editing six podcasts. It sure beats the complete stressfest that was April ar... (Read Full Article)

Show #014: The Dirty Third

By: Darrin Snider -- Wednesday, March 7, 2007
I could go on record saying that I struggled for a while over what to do about this week's show. That would be a lie, however. On one hand, I freely admit that some of the language, actions, and stories from this interview are completely inappropriat... (Read Full Article)

Yes, please do not panic because I've managed to put out an unprecedented two shows in a row. There are still eight more to go before I'm allowed to lose steam. The fact is, I had to start editing up these things because, owing to the size of a raw audi... (Read Full Article)

Show #006: Gentleman Caller

By: Darrin Snider -- Saturday, May 20, 2006
So, this week it isn't software that's driving me nuts.  It's hardware.  Sadly, while trying out some new equipment on Saturday, I blew the sound card in the laptop.  The soundcard, as you have probably guessed, is a somewhat critical par... (Read Full Article)

By: Darrin Snider -- Sunday, April 30, 2006

Show #002: Danny Isaacs Band

By: Darrin Snider -- Sunday, April 23, 2006
I think it's safe to say we're getting our wind here. We haven't exactly hit our stride yet, but we're definitely starting to get a handle on the technical issues that plagued us in show number 1. Okay, a there are a few volume spikes here an there, but... (Read Full Article)

Show #001: Brian Deer

By: Darrin Snider -- Sunday, April 16, 2006

Solicitations and Submissions

Solicitations for blog posts can be made by sending and email to "blog -at- indyintune -dot- com" and should follow these guidelines:

  • Local (Indianapolis-based) acts always have priority.
  • Visisting acts playing a bill with one or more local acts are also considered.
  • We generally don't like to repeat content found on other sites. If your request already has a lot of coverage on other sites, it will be considered low-priority unless you can give us an exclusive angle.
  • For obvious reasons, we don't do solicited album reviews, though we do appreciate you letting us know when you have a new release. Consider coming in and talking about the album yourself live on the air or a podcast.
  • All of our staff writers are unpaid enthusiasts. All requests for blog posts are entirely at their descretion.
  • As such, they generally need a lot of lead-time to put something out -- we're talking weeks of lead time, not hours.
  • That said, individual authors have full authority to ignore the following guidelines and write whatever they want ... if you can convince them to.
  • In addition, feel free to write your own post and submit it for posting as a "guest blogger." Those almost always get accepted.
  • Finally, regional or national acts submitting without meeting the above guidelines are generally ignored. We're not trying to be dicks, but if you send us a generic form-letter with your press release, and it doesn't even remotely concern a local artist or event, then you're not part of our core focus.
