Bio

The New Old Cavalry is a five-piece string band based in Bloomington, Indiana that deploys nontraditional bluegrass music in a traditional format—expanding the culture of bluegrass without defying the great tradition of American string music. After forming in 2009, the New Old Cavalry has unrelentingly toured the Midwest, cultivating a deep and diverse repertoire. This multifaceted approach makes The New Old Cavalry a perfect fit for stages large and intimate, and ears young and old.
