Coma Dolls started when Mykl and Chris got together to jam our some Punk covers just for fun. Auditions began for a "Thurston Moore" type lead guitarist and after months of auditions Nathaniel Carson was chosen and the band began to take on a more indie-rock sound as bassist Dave Tull brought his college rock influences to the table and Mykl and Nathaniel found they shared many of the same favorite bands, Sonic Youth, The Velvet Underground and The Dandy Warhols to name a few. Chris, remaining true to his punk roots left to play with punk giants Tekore and Conner was brought in to fill Chris's Doc Martins and the rest, as they say, is indie-rock history.
