Bio

Many weekend wanderers who experienced their first Damrell show admit they were not quite sure what to expect from first glance. From Chad Bellanca, a monomaniacal, enthusiastic rocker type dressed to thrill chucking stick after stick into the air while manning the drums. to Justin Mack, the passive rhythm guitarist in camo pants who prefers to track off the radar focusing almost entirely on his guitar. the alternative/punk/grunge mix Damrell conveys to their audience is otherwise undetectable until they start playing.

The members of Damrell Traveled from various regions across the country. These differences only help in blending new and classic approaches in the melting pot from which Damrell's first originals were concocted. Front man, Joe Damrell, moved from Kentucky with virtually no band experience, impressing many with his level of energy and drive on stage. Lead guitarist Gary Hall, has played with numerous bands with over 30 years of musical experience. As for Damrell's co-founder and bassist Monty Timm, who knows where he is from? Traveling across the world in a military family, one can only isolate his country of origin somewhere between The Great Wall of China and the Alaskan borders. His style and influences can prove to be quite illusive as well.

Last but not least is the awesome light show of Rockin Rob Waddups pumping out one of the best light shows any traveling bar band has to offer Damrell plans to finish their debut album, "A Brighter Shade of Pain" by the winter of 2009. This album showcases the versatility and edge that this band can bring to the table. Ranging from "The Kentucky Song" based on Joe's experiences prior to joining to "Cola", the bands most acclaimed original. this album seems to cast a positive light on not so positive memories and experiences. These songs are played for audience after audience as Damrell keeps their schedule booked traveling from the small town bars to the streets of several cities.

This band is doing what drives them, gaining welcoming response and rocking faces off along the way.
