:: Vote Mothpod!

Monday, October 27, 2008 12:00:00 PM

Reposting this for fellow Indianapolis Podcaster Zach "Mothman" Daggy ... show your support for the hometown team and VOTE!  The only thing I'll add that he didn't say is LISTEN as well ... he's got a great show featuring some of the best in podsafe music!

- Darrin

Hey Moth Maniacs,

Voting has started at the Podcast Awards, and as you may have heard, yours truly has been nominated for best music podcast! It would really be AWESOME to win in this category, but I can't do it without your help.

Here's how you can help...

VOTING:

  1. Go to http://www.podcastawards.com
  2. Select The Mothpod in the "Podsafe Music" category (It's the 9th category box from the top on the left side.)
  3. Fill in your name and email on the bottom of the page, and select whether you're a Listener, Podcaster, or Both.
  4. Click Submit

That's it! The whole thing takes less than a minute. You can vote once every 24 hours until November 7th, so PLEASE vote as many times as you can. :)

SPREAD THE WORD:

  1. Forward this message to friends, colleagues, and family.
  2. Copy this message to your blog, myspace, or other social network. (If you do this, let me know, and I'll share the love on my site.)

Thanks for your continued support everyone! When voting, please feel free to vote in the other categories as well. There are a lot of really talented folks nominated.

Cheers,
Zack "The Mothman" Daggy

Solicitations and Submissions

Solicitations for blog posts can be made by sending and email to "blog -at- indyintune -dot- com" and should follow these guidelines:

  • Local (Indianapolis-based) acts always have priority.
  • Visisting acts playing a bill with one or more local acts are also considered.
  • We generally don't like to repeat content found on other sites. If your request already has a lot of coverage on other sites, it will be considered low-priority unless you can give us an exclusive angle.
  • For obvious reasons, we don't do solicited album reviews, though we do appreciate you letting us know when you have a new release. Consider coming in and talking about the album yourself live on the air or a podcast.
  • All of our staff writers are unpaid enthusiasts. All requests for blog posts are entirely at their descretion.
  • As such, they generally need a lot of lead-time to put something out -- we're talking weeks of lead time, not hours.
  • That said, individual authors have full authority to ignore the following guidelines and write whatever they want ... if you can convince them to.
  • In addition, feel free to write your own post and submit it for posting as a "guest blogger." Those almost always get accepted.
  • Finally, regional or national acts submitting without meeting the above guidelines are generally ignored. We're not trying to be dicks, but if you send us a generic form-letter with your press release, and it doesn't even remotely concern a local artist or event, then you're not part of our core focus.
